Apologies to anyone if you were there and you're not featured, I'd only intended to catch our own girls, but others hadn't brought camera's, so I got a bit more footage than intended, then tried to get as much as memory cards would allow in between looking after my two. So popped a few snippets from what I got on here, but i'm afraid I didn't get everyone from HGC. I also hope I've spelled names right. David.
A few snap-shots and clips from the 2 piece comp in Bury yesterday. Well done to all the gymnasts and coaches, it was a good performance all round against some strong competition.

What an AMAZING day!!!Big thanks go out to Max Whitlock and Lynsey from British Gymnastics for giving up part of their weekend to come along and present our wonderful club with the GymMark accreditation, awarded by British Gymnastics for our recently implemented club management framework. We would also like to thank Kate from Anglia News for coming along and covering the event for us "on the telly." This is all fantastic stuff and helps us get closer to raising the profile and the funds required for our new stand alone facility. (See our donations page for more details). Kate Prout from Anglia news attended and the article was broadcast at 17:40 on Saturday 3rd November. (See above or click http://vimeo.com/52753199 ). The Club Vice Chair David Bovis highlights the visit was not to 'Open the Club' as the text accompanying the news report, but to present the GymMark accreditation alongside British Gymnastics Area manager Lynsey Paframan. He goes on to say, "the club hopes this kind of media coverage and recognition will show potential sponsors that the club can and will lead to significant exposure ..." this is of course excellent coverage for a fantastic forward looking club in the run up to the decision about their application for the 'Inspired Facilities' funding required to build a dedicated & full-time facility. A look back at the evolution of Olympic Gymnastics over the last 4 or 5 decades in 4 parts. With only 2 weeks notice, the Coaches and Gymnasts at HGC put on a display to celebrate the Olympic Torch Relay passing through the town. Rain forced us to remain indoors rather than doing the display on the Plaza. But I'm sure you'll agree, they did a fantastic job with such short notice. If this is what they can pull off with only a couple of weeks to put together a routine, imagine what they will achieve over time.
