Six Months hard work by Haverhill Gymnastics Club has paid off with the award of GymMark accreditation from British Gymnastics
This has been earned in recognition of their newly-implemented management framework. Their efforts paid off in the form of a visit from double bronze Olympic medallist Max Whitlock, who attended on behalf of British Gymnastics to present them with their plaque.
Covered by local papers and Anglia News, this is timely exposure for the club who are pushing hard to raise funds for a stand-alone facility, desperately required to accommodate a waiting list of around 300 children.
They have an application submitted to Sport England's "Inspired Facilities" match funding program for £150,000.
If approved, they have other fund-raisers lined up to match the grant. Combined all funding will take them halfway to their £600,000 target.
